• Why do you use a PCMCIA slot to enable the compact flash memory capability?

  • The PCMCIA slot opens up possibilities of peripheral devices other than Flash card memories to be used with the tester. For example, during product development, IDEAL qualified and extensively used Zipdisks. Because the zipdisks may not stand up to the extensive handling that they may receive in a test environment, we are not offering them as an option although they will work. Other future peripheral devices include, for example, the Microdisk, a modem, or even a Network Interface Card.
